Input data, source code, and output data of the HyPE Nepal model for the study on the theoretical hydropower potential in Nepal in a changing climate

This repository supports the study on the current and future theoretical hydropower potential in the four main basins in Nepal - Mahakali, Karnali, Gandaki, and Koshi, for a range of climate scenarios. This archive contains the pre-processed input data used in this study, derived from the hydrological data from the SPHY model of Khanal et al. (2021). Additionally, the HyPE Nepal Matlab source code is provided, which is based on the HyPE model from Dhaubanjar et al. (2021), as documented in this archive. Furthermore, the theoretical hydropower potential model outputs are provided in original .mat files and tabulated in Excel format. The ReadMe file serves as a guide to this archive.
