RNA-seq of TGF-β–Stimulated Human and Mouse Fibroblasts

Transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) is a key regulator of fibroblast activation and differentiation. In this study, RNA sequencing was performed on human and mouse fibroblast cell models to characterize transcriptional responses to TGF-β stimulation. Human samples included normal colon fibroblasts (CCD-18Co), TGF-β–treated CCD-18Co, and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs). Mouse samples consisted of a fibroblast cell line (mFib) with or without TGF-β treatment. These RNA-seq data provide a resource for studying fibroblast-specific transcriptional programs induced by TGF-β signaling across species.
