In Bangladesh, early mental health help-seeking among women remains critically low due to a complex interplay of stigma, lack of awareness, social norms, and limited access to gender-sensitive mental health services. Women often delay or avoid seeking care altogether, fearing judgment or misunderstanding from both family and healthcare providers. Addressing these barriers requires culturally informed interventions that promote mental health literacy, challenge stigma, and strengthen community-based support systems tailored to women's unique socio-cultural realities.
