Supporting materials and coded evidence dataset for "Operational Embedding of Digital Twins in Building Operations and Maintenance: A China-Relevant Systematic Scoping Review with Implications for Existing Residential Buildings"
English This record contains the supplementary materials, study-level coded evidence and term-network results for the manuscript “Operational Embedding of Digital Twins in Building Operations and Maintenance: A China-Relevant Systematic Scoping Review with Implications for Existing Residential Buildings”. The materials accompany a systematic scoping review examining how digital twins become embedded in routine building operations and maintenance. The review draws on evidence relevant to China and considers its implications for existing residential buildings. A completed PRISMA-ScR checklist with page references is included in Supplement A, Table A4. The retained corpus comprises 198 publications used for descriptive profiling and primary term mapping. A subset of 104 publications was selected for detailed qualitative coding and synthesis, comprising six residential-context anchors and 98 adjacent sources. The remaining 94 publications support contextual interpretation. The supplementary materials include study-selection and exclusion records, reviewer responsibilities, the operational codebook, study-level extraction and coding matrices, coding calibration and inter-coder reliability documentation, and methodological appraisal and evidence-weighting tables. Descriptive summaries document the publication, building, lifecycle and technology profiles of the review corpus. The synthesis materials connect technical, organisational and institutional barriers with six functions through which data support operational action: generation, quality assurance, integration, interpretation, use and learning. They document Data Rich, Information Poor (DRIP) conditions and the proposed systemic misalignment framework, including relationships involving operational responsibilities, work routines, resident participation and incentives. Seventeen literature-derived critical success factors are organised into five candidate intervention configurations. Further materials provide theoretical propositions, construct definitions, a preliminary item pool and an agenda for subsequent empirical testing. The applicability of the proposed mechanisms and intervention configurations to existing residential buildings requires further empirical validation. The primary term co-occurrence analysis uses publication titles and the reviewer-extracted Core argument and Key findings summaries recorded in the evidence matrix. It covers all 198 publications and applies binary counting with a minimum occurrence of five publications, retaining 58 terms in four clusters. Two descriptive comparisons examine the nested 104-publication analytical subset using the same text fields, with a minimum occurrence of three publications, and publication titles alone for all 198 records, with a minimum occurrence of five. These comparisons retain 68 terms in six clusters and 23 terms in four clusters, respectively. Supplementary Table G7 documents the analysis parameters and the 16 term harmonisation and cleaning rules. Table G8 provides the complete 58-term list for the primary network, including document occurrences, link counts and total link strengths. Table G9 presents the comparative network summaries and complete term-level results for both comparison networks, together with the ranking and correlation procedures used to compare the primary and analytical-subset networks. These materials support examination of the review procedures, tracing of the synthesis to its source records, checking of the reported term-level metrics and comparison statistics, and reuse of the coding framework and analysis methods. They should be read alongside the associated manuscript. 中文 对既有住宅建筑的启示》(Operational Embedding of Digital Twins in Building Operations and Maintenance: A China-Relevant Systematic Scoping Review with Implications for Existing Residential Buildings)的支撑材料、研究层面的编码证据及术语网络分析结果。
