Main Endeavour Field Benthic and Resistivity Sensors Deployed 2024-06-09

The OceanEngUW BARS 04 was deployed on 2024-06-09 at Main Endeavour Field. Main Endeavour Field is a vent field located at Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a Benthic and Resistivity Sensors. Benthic and Resistivity Sensors (BARS) collect measurements from hydrothermal vents, using sensors to measure resistivity, temperature, eH (oxidizing nature of seawater components) and hydrogen. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
