This dataset consists of metadata downloaded from PubMed and PubMedCentral, including identifiers for papers (such as PMID, PMCID, and DOI), bibliographic information (such as Title, Abstract, Journal, Year, ISSN, and eISSN), and flags indicating open access status (PMC_OA and IS_OA). The dataset is split into a training set, with details on its size and the number of examples provided. Notably, some abstracts are strangely truncated for reasons that are not yet understood. The open access status was determined using data from the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
