PalaeoDEMs of the hinterland of Ravenna

PalaeoDEMs, namely digital elevation models of historical topography, of the hinterland of Ravenna (Italy), for four chronological periods: 

Bronze Age (~1000 BCE), Roman period (~100 CE), Early Middle Ages (~1200 CE), and Late Middle Ages (~1400 CE).

This dataset includes both original data, palaeoDEMs, data for thier enhancement, enhanced palaeoDEM+, and additional geoarchaeological data for model verification:

Ravenna_hinterland_PalaeoDEM_data.gpkg = vector point file containing filtered geoarchaeological data from Geoarchaeological dataset for the hinterland of Ravenna according to four chronological periods

Ravenna_hinterland_PalaeoDEM_Bronze.tif = raster file of palaeoDEM for the Bronze Age

Ravenna_hinterland_PalaeoDEM_Roman.tif = raster file of palaeoDEM for the Roman period

Ravenna_hinterland_PalaeoDEM_Early.tif = raster file of palaeoDEM for the Early Middle Ages

Ravenna_hinterland_PalaeoDEM_Late.tif = raster file of palaeoDEM for the Late Middle Ages

Ravenna_hinterland_PalaeoDEM_extrafiles.zip = archive folder contening raster files of palaeoDEM uncertainty (SD) of four chronological periods, text files with reports of data analysis and interpolation, and related metadata

Ravenna_hinterland_PalaeoDEM_MSRM.zip = archive folder contening raster files of palaeoDEMs processed with the MSRM algorithm [1], text file with GGE [2] scripts, and related metadata

Ravenna_hinterland_PalaeoDEM_PalaeoLandforms.gpkg = vector point file containing reconstructed fluvial and coastal landforms for four chronological periods

Ravenna_hinterland_PalaeoDEM_PalaeoPoints.gpkg = vector point file containing geoarchaeological data and simulated points inside and outside landforms according to four chronological periods
