The aim of the study was to uncover the mechanism behind m6A methylation on E. coli mRNA, and to elude to its functional roles by characterising it and asessing its affects under stress. We carried out m6A sequencing under different conditions. Overall design: m6A-RNA sequencing of wild-type E. coli MG1655 cells (2 replicates), cells from 4 Keio strains with a single gene knokcout, and from wid-type E. coli cells subjected to heat stress (2 replicates) or oxidative stress (2 replicates), to determine the mechanism behind m6A installation in E. coli and its characteristics under stress
