Building Information and Structural Models of Archetype Commercial Buildings Located in the Central and Eastern United States

This repository contains design documents, building plans, and Building Information and Structural Models associated with 6 professionally-designed alternatives for a hypothetical 4-story office building located in Charleston, South Carolina. The VT-RSB archetypes have identical external and similar internal layouts to support well-controlled comparative assessment of soil-foundation-structure-envelope (SFSE) systems. The documentation is intended to be sufficient to support detailed life-cycle environmental assessment, building energy modeling, and nonlinear structural response modeling. Subsequent repositories will host such information related to the archetypes. More details on provenance, use cases, and design details are provided in the repository README. Models and data related to individual archetypes is provided in archived and unarchived formats for convenience.
