hydrogen adsorption and its induced deformation on shale: implication for underground hydrogen in shale reservoirs

This dataset contains raw and processed data supporting the study of hydrogen adsorption and adsorption-induced deformation in shale. It includes: Hydrogen adsorption data as a function of pressure, with CO₂ adsorption data included for comparison; 3D CT visualizations of shale samples before and after H₂ exposure, where blue indicates high-density minerals, red indicates pore and fracture space, and gray indicates the shale matrix; Strain measurements induced by H₂ and CO₂ adsorption, including radial, axial, and volumetric strain under varying pressures. Data tables, figures, and analysis scripts are included. These materials support the results presented in the related article submitted to Geophysical Research Letters.
