Phenotypic and physiological effects of salinity on larval tiger salamanders

Four separate datasets are contained in the entry that document the effects of salinity (four treatments; < 32, 200, 1000, and 4000 mg/L) on larval salamanders. Half of larvae were also exposed to a glucocorticoid antagonist to investigate whether glucocorticoids (corticosterone and aldosterone) mediate effects of salinity. (1) ALDODATA - Contains waterborne corticosterone and aldosterone results from a subset of larvae at end of experiment. (2) ENDOFEXPERIMENTMEASUREMENTS - Contains end of experiment morphological measurements on larvae that survived (e.g., mass, snout-vent length, percent water content). (3) SURVIVALDATA - Contains data tracking percent of each experimental group of larvae surviving throughout the experiment (24 days). (4)TEMPORAL_PHENOTYPICPHYSIOLOGICDATA - Contains data for four randomly selected larvae from each treatment (salinity x glucocorticoid antagonist) per sampling day where waterborne baseline and stress-induced corticosterone samples were collected and phenotypic data was measured (e.g., mass, snout-vent length, developmental stage). <br><br>
