Epigenetic characterization of T progenitor exhausted and terminally exhausted T cells in chronic infection [ATACseq_Prdm1YFP]

Exhausted T cells are a heterogeneous population of antigen-reactive CD8+ T cells elicited by chronic antigen exposure. T progenitor exhausted (TPEX) and terminally exhausted (TEX) cells exhibit distinct gene expression profiles, but how their chromatin accessibility profiles differ remains incompletely defined. This dataset interrogates genome-wide differences in chromatin accessibility of Prdm1YFP+TIM3+ (TEX), Prdm1YFP-TIM3-(TPEX), and Prdm1YFP+TIM3- cells. Prdm1-YFP+ reporter mice were infected with LCMV-c13; on 22 dpi, PD1+CD8+ T cells from the following populations were sorted: Prdm1YFP+TIM3+ (TEX), Prdm1YFP-TIM3-(TPEX), and Prdm1YFP+TIM3-. Three independent mice were used for each sample. Bulk ATAC sequencing was performed on each replicate.
