Dataset for "Psycholinguistic Dimensions of Persuasion: Language and Prosodic Aspects of Presidential Rhetoric"

This dataset contains empirical material and statistical calculations for the article “Psycholinguistic Dimensions of Persuasion: Language and Prosodic Aspects of Presidential Rhetoric”. The repository includes three president-specific datasets for Donald Trump, Joseph Biden, and Barack Obama. Each dataset contains 90 annotated speech excerpts, anonymised Compliance Intention and Memorability Score ratings, PG, PS, and PGS configuration classifications, prosodic measurements, lexico-grammatical and stylistic coding, source information, data dictionaries, and analytical interpretations. Together, the three president-specific datasets constitute a corpus of 270 presidential speech excerpts. The repository also includes a separate file with Likert-based statistical calculations, cross-tabulations, descriptive statistics, reliability indicators, non-parametric test results, and mean-rank summaries used for the statistical verification reported in the article.
