VPRS 882 Register of Applications for Aid

Individual schools were able to apply to the National Schools Board for aid in their operations. This series provides a summary of these applications. Details given are the number, name and locality of the school, the nature of the aid required, the amount of money, the date of the application and remarks. Aid was requested for the building and maintenance of schools and for the provision of furniture and fittings.The remarks column was used to record such information as the dates of operation of the school, to elaborate on the nature of the problem aid had been applied for, the efforts and contributions of Local Patrons and the decision of the Board in the matter.
