Global Burden of Disease Study 2023 (GBD 2023) Lower Respiratory Infection Mortality and Incidence Estimates 1990-2023

The Global Burden of Disease Study 2023 (GBD 2023), coordinated by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), estimated the burden of diseases, injuries, and risk factors for 204 countries and territories and selected subnational locations.

This dataset includes estimates of mortality, incidence, DALYs, YLDs, and YLLs associated with LRI and LRI pathogens for GBD countries from 1990 to 2023. LRI mortality was modeled separately for each sex and two age categories (under 5 and 5 years and above) due to differing mortality trends between age groups.
