Quantity of fluoropolymers sold in Europe 2015-2020, by application

In 2020, the transportation sector and the chemical and power sector represented the two downstream applications with the largest share of total fluoropolymer sales in Europe, with 15.5 thousand metric tons and 11 thousand metric ton respectively. Between 2015 and 2020, most end use sectors of fluoropolymers remained stable or experienced a decrease in sales volumes, with medical applications and textiles and architecture seeing the most significant drops.
