资源简介:
In a joint Florida Scrub-Jay (FSJ) management effort between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and IMC Phosphates (now Mosaic Fertilizer, LLC) 51 FSJs from five imperiled subpopulations within FSJ Metapopulation 4 on Florida's west coast were translocated into an area of restored habitat with a small recipient population termed the Mosaic Wellfield site. Translocations took place every year from 2003 through 2010, except for 2006. Jays in the Mosaic Wellfield and two adjacent protected areas (Duette Preserve and Coker Tract), collectively term the Core Region (CR), were intensively monitored before and after translocations. The translocations produced rapid population growth with new family groups establishing de novo territories throughout the CR. We sequenced whole genomes from FSJ individuals residing in the CR prior to translocations, translocated individuals, individuals born into the CR population 18 years after the start of translocations, and individuals from five neighboring subpopulations (Duette Headwaters, Sun City, Golden Aster Scrub, Brigman, West Balm) to assess the genetic impacts of the translocations on the CR population. Raw sequence data for all 87 individuals sequenced in this study are provided.
