Alum & Copperas shipped from Poole, 1565-1620

The copperas industry on the south coast of England became well-established somewhat earlier than is commonly thought, and continued later and with steadier success than is generally appreciated. This dataset was extracted from records in the Exchequer Port Books (UK National Archives, TNA E 190), and supports an article to be published in Southern History, 2018. It lists all of the shipments of copperas and alum sent from Poole, together with the names of the merchants concerned and other details.
