资源简介:
This project is part of the dissertation research of Kristen Noelle Finch at Oregon State University, and involves many parts:1. RNA-seq of C. odorata, transcriptome assembly, and hybridization probe selection.2. DNA-seq of C. odorata to supplement hybridization probe selection and for the assembly of organellar genomes.3. Hybridization capture, targeted enrichment, and short-read sequencing of six sympatric species: C. angustifolia, C. fissilis, C. montana, C. nebulosa, C. odorata, and C. saltensis. Resulting reads will be used for multiple alignment, variant calling (SNPs), and statistical analysis.4. Short-read low coverage sequencing of six sympatric species: C. angustifolia, C. fissilis, C. montana, C. nebulosa, C. odorata, and C. saltensis. Resulting reads will be used for partial-complete organellar genome assembly. The purpose of this project is to define the population structure across the southern distribution of Cedrela spp. The goal of analysis is to identify spatially and taxonomically informative regions for subsequent marker development for wood specimen identification to the species and provenance levels.
