PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collection mechanism for a wood processing machine capable of collecting cutting chips without leaving any residue in a cutting grove of a plate to be processed and capturing the cutting chips of the plate to be processed without scattering them to surroundings when cutting the plate to be processed with a cutting tool. SOLUTION: A dust collection mechanism for a wood processing machine comprises: a flat shape plate 20 arranged in a flange-like shape below a cover 10 covering surroundings of a cutting tool cutting a plate P to be processed; gas supply pipes 30 point-symmetrically arranged on an upper surface of the plate 20 to supply compressed air to a gap S between an under surface of the plate 20 and the plate P to be processed; and a suction duct arranged on an upper surface of the cover 10 in communication with a suction device. The gas supply pipes 30 may be obliquely arranged outward in a radial direction of the cover 10 at a predetermined angle θ. Further， a brush may be arranged along a circumferential direction of a lower surface of the plate 20. SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
