Distribution of ants (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) using three sampling techniques at the Experimental Farm of the University of Amazonas - UFAM, Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil

These data refer to the PCI project Camila Gomes de Brito, linked to PPBio - Western Amazon, process 558318 / 2009-6. The main objective of the research will evaluate composition and richness of the assembly of ants in 27 installments of the Experimental Farm of the University of Amazonas - UFAM (24 km2) and verify biotic responses against the environmental variables. They will be assessed the effects of soil elevation, soil particle size and slope. Data were collected at the Experimental Farm of the Federal University of Amazonas (FEX-UFAM) covering 3,000 ha of rainforest containing areas of plateaus and shallows, with primary forest, secondary forest and areas of campinaranas, in the period from 23 June 2011 to 06 August 2016. The farm is located at km 38 of the BR 174, Amazonas, Brazil.
