Digital Terrain Model, Backscatter Photomosaic and eCognition Rule Set Supporting Posidonia oceanica Restoration Site Selection

This repository contains the datasets supporting the manuscript Object-Based Image Analysis Supporting Site Selection in Posidonia oceanica Restoration Efforts. The repository includes: a 2 m resolution Digital Terrain Model (DTM) derived from multibeam echosounder data; a 30 cm resolution side scan sonar backscatter photomosaic; the eCognition Developer rule set implementing the Object-Based Image Analysis (OBIA) workflow described in the manuscript. The datasets were produced within the RENOVATE project and were used to identify geomorphologically suitable areas for Posidonia oceanica restoration offshore Santa Marinella (central Tyrrhenian Sea, Italy). The repository is intended to ensure transparency and reproducibility of the analyses presented in the associated publication. Access to the datasets is restricted. Data and associated rule set are made available for scientific research upon reasonable request and subject to approval by the data owner through the Zenodo access request mechanism.
