NRS-8392 | Plan catalogue books [Roads Branch, Department of Lands]

These volumes relate to the series of plans catalogued at the small number 1603 (Parish Roads) in the Surveyor General's Catalogue of maps and plans, 1792-1887 Q-Z (NRS-13870 7/1275; COD 87; Reel 2501).They are arranged alphabetically by county and then numerically by the catalogue number of each plan. Volumes 1-10 provide the following information: catalogue number and registration number of papers; description of road; catalogue number and description of deviations; owner or occupier; preliminary notification; confirmation (or resumption, withdrawal or remarking); opening (or declared to be a public road); surveyor (and voucher number); remarks and general information.In Volumes 11-12 only the catalogue number and registration number of papers, description of road, gazettals and general remarks are given.The information in the original Volume 1 (2/35) has been copied into the second volume in the series (2/36) (also No.1). Both these volumes contain entries for roads plans catalogued at small numbers other than 1603. The original Volume 1 contains entries for such plans at folios 165-204 which include a catalogue of roads granted at Quarter Sessions, 1870-1902.
