A field experiment showing plant response to UV radiation in diffuse sunlight

This dataset contains data used for the "A field experiment showing plant response to UV radiation in diffuse sunlight" publication, where a detailed description of the data collection methods can be found. In short, an experiment, where barley plants were grown, was carried out in 2022 in Finland, Helsinki. We studied long-term plant acclimation to different light conditions. Two main effects we experimentally manipulated, by covering plants with large plastic filters, was diffuse light and spectral composition. In regards to diffuse radiation, half of the filters were covered with diffuse paint. Wheras spectral composition was manipulated by removing UV radiation (<400 nm (No UV) or < 350 (UV-A long)). We measured plant architectural traits, biomass allocation, canopy density, plant temperature, leaf pigments, leaf morphological traits, the chlorophyll fluorescence parameter Fv/Fm and photosynthetic rate.
