In order to characterize current prevalence of salmonellosis in pets, the Center for Veterinary Medicine’s (CVM) Veterinary Laboratory Investigation and Response Network (Vet-LIRN), in collaboration with 11 cooperative agreement laboratories, harmonized a culture method, and then tested fecal samples from dogs and cats. Isolates were sequenced.
