Transcriptome analysis of microglia at day 3 and 20 following sepsis induction

Sepsis-associated encephalopathy is a common complication during systemic inflammation. Microglia are key player in this process. For a better understanding we compared isolated microglia from mice at day 3 and day 20 following induction of polymicrobial sepsis. We found a long-lasting inflammatory response of microglia following sepsis. Overall design: 14 samples in 4 groups: 1) 4 replicates: No PCI treatment (sham), extraction after 3 days. 2) 4 replicates: PCI treatment, extraction after 3 days. 3) 3 replicates: No PCI treatment (sham), extraction after 20 days. 4) 3 replicates: PCI treatment, extraction after 20 days.
