资源简介:
Draft genome sequence of a true obligate syntrophic bacterium isolate, Syntrophomonas zehnderi strain OL-4T. This bacterium has a pivotal role in complete degradation and biogas production from unsaturated and saturated long chain fatty acids (LCFA) in anaerobic bioreactors treating LCFA-based effluents. LCFA are organic compounds with a very high energetic potential and, therefore, their treatment in methanogenic bioreactors can provide high amounts of biogas. S. zehnderi belongs to the order Clostridiales within the phylum Firmicutes. It grows on LCFA in co-culture with the methanogenic partner Methanobacterium formicicum. LCFA are organic compounds with a very high energetic potential and, therefore, their treatment in methanogenic bioreactors can provide high amounts of biogas, and thus significantly contribute to sustainable bioenergy production.
