The findings preliminarily reveal the rules of morphological changes in the Pinus koraiensis ovule during fertilization, and the physiological and transcriptional analyses provide a foundation for an in-depth study of the molecular regulatory network mechanisms of the Pinus koraiensis fertilization process, which may promote targeted breeding efforts to accelerate the development of the Pinus koraiensis industry, and also provide a reference for the study of other gymnosperms.
