Anopheles stephensi is the main malaria vector in India. Despite proimising advancements in integrated vector control and the emergence of resistances, insecticides are still a staple in the war on malaria. In this study we monitored the transcriptome ove time in response to permethrin stress. We employed RNA-seq to keep track of transcrip-tional changes in pools of A. stephensi larvae at six, 24, and 48 hours after esposure. The main focus was on the transcriptional choreography of the genes thought to protect against chemical stressors: the chemical defensome.
