资源简介:
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is not only a globally important horticultural crop but also a model plant for studying leaf development, as leaf growth directly affects photosynthetic efficiency and yield potential. Trehalose-6-phosphate phosphatases (TPPs) are key enzymes in trehalose metabolism, playing crucial roles in regulating plant growth and development. Among them, the tomato SlTPP1 gene, a member of the TPP family, has been predicted to be involved in leaf growth regulation, yet its specific molecular mechanism remains unclear. Elucidating how SlTPP1 modulates tomato leaf expansion, cell division, or cell elongation will not only enrich our understanding of the functional diversity of TPP genes in solanaceous crops but also provide theoretical support for genetic improvement of tomato plant architecture and yield.
