This study investigated the therapeutic effects of Syringin in a mouse model of spinal cord contusion injury. RNA-seq was performed on spinal cord tissues at day 3 post-injury from mice treated with PBS or Syr (50 mg/kg daily, SCI+Syr group, n=3 per group). Transcriptomic analysis revealed that Syr modulates MAPK signaling pathway genes (Mmp13, Mapk1, Mapk8) and reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-1beta, TNF-alpha). Consistently, Syr inhibited neuronal apoptosis, promoted tissue repair, and improved locomotor function recovery, suggesting its neuroprotective role in SCI.
