Analysis of livestock value chains

This dataset consists of an excel spreadsheet derived from Census of Commercial Agriculture (CoCA) 2018 as the study used secondary data. The spreadsheet was created to enable quantitative analysis that included simple descriptive statistics, hierarchical cluster analysis and multivariate analysis of variance on SPSS. It presents independent variables i.e. FMD red, free & protected zones against dependent variables such as livestock sales, livestock purchases, livestock retention, income from animals and animal products as well as agricultural land use in the different municipalities impacted by foot-and mouth disease in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal. The dataset mentions local municipalities and district regions found in three provinces mentioned and has grouped statistics according to these.
