Macrophage viability data (LIVE/DEAD assay) in response to glycol-chitosan hydrogels crosslinked with .005%, .01%, .02% gloxal solution that contained vocal fold fibroblasts embedded in 3D culture. Also includes three control datasets for macrophage viability for: (1) all hydrogel crosslinker concentrations without fibroblasts (hydrogel monoculture); (2) co-culture with fibroblasts without hydrogel present; (3) monoculture of macrophages without hydrogel or fibroblasts present. Values shown indicate the % of live macrophages detected in each sample.
