Database of Tree Species in UK Agroforestry Systems

This database supports the following documents:Tree Species Guide for UK Agroforestry SystemsA forthcoming journal article, 'Tree species selection for ecosystem services and resilience in agroforestry systems'.The dataset contains two files. Users who are interested in delving 'under the hood' of the tree species guide, including references and further details, should refer to the xlsx file. Users who are interested in undertaking quantitative analysis should refer to the csv file, which contains the coded data used for the analysis in the above paper.The dataset should be used in conjunction with either of the above documents, which explain the caveats and limitations of the data.Species included in the dataset do not necessarily represent a ‘green list’ of approved or recommended species and policies and regulations may differ between UK nations and are subject to change. Users should consult their local forestry agency for guidance. This dataset reflects our current knowledge, and the authors accept no liability for any actions taken based on the information provided.In the xlsx file, each column in the 'data' sheet represents a tree species, while each row represents an attribute.Bracketed numbers in each cell are references, which are listed in Column AK for each corresponding row.
