Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at The Old Bakery, High Street, Hempstead, Essex, July 2020

This collection consists of site images, records and reports from an archaeological evaluation at the Old Bakery, High Street, Hempstead, Essex. The evaluation was carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust in July 2020 prior to the construction of a new dwelling. Excavations revealed the remains of a 19th-century building depicted on early editions of the Ordnance Survey map, which stood here until it was demolished at some point after 1960.
