Quarterly number of domestic trips in Norway 2018-2020, by transportation

Airplane is the most common mode of transportation for Norwegians when traveling in their home country. During the time under consideration, most domestic trips were made in the third quarter of 2019, with over two million airplane trips. In the second quarter of 2020, things looked different, because of the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. That quarter, most trips were made by private or hired vehicles.
