Phenology, productivity, fruit size and outer fruit traits in an apple genetic resources x elite hybrid collection

This dataset contains phenotypic data for apple genetic ressources x elite hybrids studied at the INRAE Experimental Unit UE Horti. The hybrids stemmed from ten parental combinations and were planted at the INRAE Experimental Unit UE Horti from 2011 to 2017. Four traits, fruit weight, fruit number, fruit over-color and harvest date, were evaluated in 2019 and 2020. These data were used in the paper by Cazenave et al. (2021) "Combining genetic resources and elite material populations to improve the accuracy of genomic prediction in apple". These data were obtained in the frame of the project ValoRGPomme "Valorisation des ressources génétiques du pommier dans la population d'amélioration élite grâce à la sélection génomique", supported by the regional programme “Objectif Végétal, Research, Education and Innovation in Pays de la Loire”, supported by the French Region Pays de la Loire, Angers Loire Métropole and the European Regional Development Fund.
