NC Sea Turtle Satellite Telemetry and Gill Net By-Catch Data 2002 - 2004

Data were collected every year in fall from 2002 to 2004. For each animal tracked, data were recorded on species, date, location, time, re-capture status, body measurements, including straight and curved carapace lengths and widths. The purpose of the data was to follow representative individuals of all species present during the large-mesh gill net fishing time period in Pamlico Sound, NC where sea turtle conservation measure were put in place to reduce their by-catch.
