Megalurothrips usitatus (Thysanoptera:Thripidae) is a major threat to snap bean and cowpea in southern regions of China.It has small size which makes it difficult to be identified with morphological characteristics. it is necessary to use molecular data such as mitochondrial genome to explore the taxonomic status accurately and do more related study.
