This dataset is part of a research project titled "Teachers' Intentional Language Teaching and Early Chinese Language Development: Observations From Mainland China." The research focuses on examining the intentional language teaching behaviors of preschool teachers in China and their impact on the language development of young children. The dataset includes longitudinal data from various stages of the project, encompassing both teacher- and student-related information. Teachers' data includes demographic information, teaching experiences, and scores from multiple dimensions of language teaching behaviors, which are evaluated using questionnaires. Students' data includes demographic information, as well as language skills assessments such as phonological awareness, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills at multiple time points. The dataset is structured to support several types of analysis, including latent profile analysis (LPA) to identify teacher profiles, network analysis to explore the relationship between student language skills, and hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) to examine the impact of teacher behaviors on student outcomes.
