In 2023, the value of department store and supermarket sales of furniture in Japan amounted to approximately 83.96 billion Japanese yen. The numbers did decrease compared to the previous year by roughly 1.16 billion yen. Sales of this product segment had been on a continuous downward trend throughout the observed period, starting at around 170.03 billion yen in 2014.
