This study assembles the first complete chloroplast genome of Gymnosphaera andersonii. The circular genome spans 155,232 bp with a GC content of 40.64%, comprising a large single-copy (85,843 bp), a small single-copy (21,607 bp), and two inverted repeats (23,891 bp). It harbors 125 genes, including 85 protein-coding genes, 32 tRNA genes, and eight rRNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis within the Cyatheaceae family reveals that G. andersonii forms a sister clade to G. khasiana. These findings provide critical genomic insights into the evolutionary relationships of Cyatheaceae and establish a foundation for future conservation and biogeographic studies of G. andersonii.
