Disclosed are of double stranded rna molecules (dsrna) which are toxic for pests of coleoptera insects and/or hemipteran. In particular， are provided of interfering rna molecules that may interfere with the target of the genes that constitute an insect pest and that are toxic for the pest of target insects. Also disclosed are methods for producing and using the interfering rna， by example， in transgenic plants or as the active ingredient of an insecticide， composition for conferring protection against the damage caused by insects.
