Genomes, annotations and transcriptome of 3 Caribbean Parrots. Amazona

Genome wide data is used to assemble and annotate the genomes of three Amazon species from the Caribbean: Cuban amazon (Amazona leucocephala), Hispeniolan amazon (A. ventralis) and Puerto Rican parrot (A. vittata).Previously assembled A. vittata is improved on and used it as a reference genome to assemble the closely related species. Genes are annotated, interrogated for the signatures of historic selections, and species phylogeny is evaluated using the new data, and in the context of bird genome evolution.
