G3Dv2_01_Q, non-tabular Quartair base

This layer gives the height of the base (mTAW) of the Quartarian deposits of the Geological 3D model of Flanders. Quartaire sediments in Flanders form a layer covering all older deposits. This layer includes the non-tabular Quartarian units. The Formations of Weld, Malle and Merksplas were not included in the mapping of the base of the Quartair, but were modelled separately. The Geological 3D model was drawn up under the Flemish Government’s management agreement with VITO, known as VLAKO, on behalf of the Department of LNE – Land and Soil Protection Division, Subsoil, Natural Resources.
