Data supporting [Trait-mediated rain use efficiency explains grassland drought sensitivity]

This dataset contains site-level annual aboveground net primary productivity (ANPP), rain use efficiency (RUE), and plant functional trait data collected during a coordinated extreme drought experiment across 12 grassland sites from 2013–2018. Long-term (1982–2018) annual precipitation data for each site, are also included. Additionally, this dataset contains data extracted from Huxman et al. (2004) used for comparative analyses, as well as the R scripts used for mixed-effects model analyses and figure generation in the study. All scripts were written in R (version 4.4.2) and can be used to reproduce the main and Extended Data figures.
