In 2019, the largest demand for multiple-unit rolling stock was from Europe, which represented 64 percent of the total market. It dwarfed all other markets, with Southeast Asia coming in second at almost a quarter of the total demand. That same year, Bombardier was the leading manufacturer for multiple-units.
