Dehalococcoides is a representative functional microorganism for achieving the complete dechlorination of trichloroethene (TCE). The augmentation of pure Dehalococcoides is important to reduce the environmental disturbance accompany with the bioaugmentation. However, the applicability of Dehalococcoides-bioaugmentation on contaminated soil is unclear. In this study. seven energy sources were supplied as electron donor for Dehalococcides for evaluating the applicability on remediating the TCE-contaminated soils.
