Optical and physical data collected by drifters during June 2000 - March 2001 in support of the Global Ocean Ecosystem Dynamics program (NCEI Accession 0000581)

Upwelling and downwelling irradiance data were collected from surface drifter buoys off the California and Oregon coast from 04 June 2000 to 24 March 2001 (non inclusive). Data were collected by Oregon State University (OSU) in support of the NE Global Ocean Ecosystem Dynamics (GLOBEC). Drifter parameters include location, sea surface temperature, upwelling radiance at 7 wavebands in the visible spectrum, and downwelling irradiance at 490 nm.
