Oklahoma Geological Survey (OGS) Cores; National Geoscience Data Repository System (NGDRS)

The Oklahoma Geological Survey (OGS) Cores database within the National Geoscience Data Repository System provides information on the sample type, quality, depth, and stratigraphic unit of approximately 4,600 Oklahoma core samples. The NGDRS is maintained by the American Geological Institute (AGI) and is made possible through the joint sponsorship of the petroleum industry and the Department of Energy (DOE). The development of the NGDRS was inspired by the need to preserve the large volumes of geologic data that were collected by the petroleum industry and its associated agencies during the assessment and development of well sites.
